We recommend that you schedule Well Child visits at least 4 weeks in advance. Examinations are based on current recommendations provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics. See below for the Well Child Examination Schedule.
Your child's overall health is important to us! That's why all of our physicals are scheduled for 30 minutes, in order to allow enough time to review your child's health thoroughly and answer all of your questions. Be sure to call in advance to schedule a physical for your child. Because our schedules fill quickly between August and September, we suggest that you schedule your child's physical in the late spring or early summer.
Sport physical letters or updated immunization records can be generated at the time of your child's physical in most cases. We will need three to five business days to complete requests for immunization records or other sport physical related documentation.
American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations regarding well care for your child from ages birth to 18 years.
IZ = Immunizations given at the visit. Immunization's typically will not be given if a child is sick or running a fever. Providers will order further testing based on individual need.
New patients should bring their child's immunization record to their first visit and any previous medical records (or have them faxed to our office 14 days prior to the child's visit at 303-426-9581, attn: Medical Records)
When your child is sick, we understand how important it is to you to have your child seen on the same day. Same-day appointments are available daily throughout the week so that we can accommodate your family when your child is sick.
Please call 303-430-0823 and we will be happy to schedule an appointment for your sick child on the same day at our office. We ask that you call and schedule a same-day appointment rather than just bringing your child into the clinic, in order to minimize your time spent in the waiting room. It's midnight and you're awakened to the feverish cries of your young child. Nothing you've tried is bringing her fever down. Now what? Call Mountainland Pediatrics (303-430-0823).
The Mountainland Pediatrics answering service will refer your call to a pediatric nurse at The Children's Hospital who will contact you within 5 minutes. The nurse will assess your situation and make recommendations.
Depending on the circumstances, the on-call Mountainland Pediatrics' doctors may also contact you. The doctor may phone in a prescription to the pharmacy of your choice, might recommend that you make an appointment with Mountainland Pediatrics the next morning, or might even ask that you bring your child to an Emergency Room as soon as possible. Whatever the recommendation, you will be comforted knowing that your child is in the capable hands of one of the nation's top 10 pediatric healthcare experts in the country.
